Fun with friends

We have some very excited Turkeys....they are ready for Thanksgiving!  We had a smaller class again today and wish our friends who were out that they feel better soon.   Lots of love was shared today. We had music with Miss Kathleen, finished up Thanksgiving projects for you and got plenty of Vitamin D.  Remember, no school until Tuesday, December 3rd.  Happy Thanksgiving!

Fun Tuesday

We spent time outside today playing on the playground and picking off corn in hopes that birds and squirrels will find it and enjoy!  Building peg towers, playing house and baby dolls is also so much fun.  We started working on our Thanksgiving surprise for our parents and wrapped up the sponge turkey we started last week.  Never a dull moment in our class!

Rain, Rain, Go Away

Rainy Thursdays calls for play-doh, using dot markers for the first time, working with peg boards and playing restaurant.  We tried to see how tall everyone could stack the pegs before they fell and what tasty creations we could try in the kitchen.  Miss Kathleen also came to the preschool today just to share music with OUR class, what a treat.  We sponge painted a turkey, practiced taking stickers off the sheet and putting them on a piece of paper - fine motor skills at their best!

Playing with friends

On Tuesday we made a Christmas card for soldiers overseas, had fun crafting a piece of pumpkin pie and had our first practice in the Sanctuary for the Thanksgiving program.  What we had left of the morning, the kids enjoyed playing with the classroom toys....whew!!

November

November calendars were sent home today, along with a parent letter talking about our Thanksgiving program.  We had a nice morning reading books about Thanksgiving, playing with friends, making our monthly place mat and some chose to practice using glue to attach paper leaves to paper.

Thankful

We are thankful for your children every day but especially during the month of Thanksgiving. They are starting to hear the song "Strut Mr. Turkey" and sign along to it, along with "Jesus Loves Me" and we have motions to learn to each song.  They are excited to perform for you in the sanctuary later in the month. We are busy this week with decorating our November calendar and placemat.
