Parents,
October is here and your children are having so much fun. We
have been singing Halloween songs - Five Little Witches, Itsy Bitsy Spider,
Stirring the Brew and Pumpkin, Pumpkin - ask them to sing them and act out the
motions! We have celebrated several birthdays with yummy treats and look
forward to healthy snack each week.
Thank you to all who have brought in snacks so far.
This month is busy and fun so these are a few dates to put
on your calendar:
Individual pictures will be on Tuesday, October 8th.
Every year we go to the pumpkin patch across the street at
Wilmington Island United Methodist Church.
We are planning on going on Tuesday,
October 22nd and would like for you to join us. It's a great place to take pictures! Each child will need an adult to accompany
them in order to come. Please come to
the classroom that morning at 10:00 am
and we will walk over together. The
children will look at the pumpkins and then we will eat our fun snack - monster
munch. We will have story time and sing
our Halloween songs, too. We will stay
for 45 minutes and then head back to preschool to finish the day on the
playground. If you have younger
children, they are welcome to join us!
Our Halloween party will be on Thursday, October 31st at 11:15 am.
If you signed up for this party, our room mom Molly Pavlo will be in
touch with you about what to bring for the party. All are welcome to come! The children may wear their costumes to
school that day. If you signed up for
the party, please be there at 11 am.
Conference day is Friday, October 11th. At this point, a phone conference or email is
sufficient or not needed. However, if
you want a face to face, I am at school every day from 8:15 to 12:30 so I can
meet with you then. If you think your child may need speech, we can steer you
in the right direction but they need to be 3 years old before they can work
with a speech therapist at WIPP. I'll be
sending home a paper copy tomorrow in your child's book bag. Please return the form below.
